The new special edition Big Block , which was made from the interior leather of a 1965 Corvette C2, tells part of this story and builds a bridge between historical and contemporary American design.

With its sleek design, powerful engine and iconic looks, the Corvette C2 “Sting Ray” is one of the most sought-after and iconic vintage cars on both sides of the Atlantic.
Hardly any other vehicle is able to capture the futuristic design language of the 1960s so well and at the same time represent timeless elegance.

The Corvette C2 “Sting Ray”
With the second generation of the Corvette model series, which has been produced since 1953, the car manufacturer Chevrolet also introduced the name "Sting Ray". According to legend, the design was inspired by a mako shark that Bill Mitchell, one of Chevrolet's leading designers, is said to have caught while deep-sea fishing.
The first examples of the C2 rolled off the production line in 1963, and two years later the vehicle was available for the first time with an optional 6.5 L V8 engine: the so-called Big Block.

Inspired by the angular shape and sharp aesthetics of the cult classic car, our bracelet also received a striking design. The graduated shape and flat tapered tip of the bracelet are emphasized by the striking orange contrast stitching.

"[...] if you've ever longed to buy a sports car, you'll soon be the owner of a new Corvette Sting Ray. All the sensible talk about budgets, the good years your current car still has ahead of it, all the sensible thoughts. Forget it!" That's how bluntly Chevrolet's copywriters put it in an ad for the new "Sting Ray" - with great success!
Almost 120,000 vehicles of the C2 were sold during the production years from 1963 to 1967, until it was replaced by the third generation of the Corvette in 1968.
Of all Corvette generations, the “Sting Ray” enjoys a special cult status due to its appearance. You will soon be able to call a part of this myth your own with the special edition “Big Block”.
